An example of a learning center is shown to the left, demonstrating how Reading in Action program resources might be used during an Exploration. Alternate Implementation Models Small-Group Instruction This model offers opportunities for students to work in small groups or with partners while the teacher offers guidance. Students read the readers on their own before class or read round-robin style during the group session. Whole-Group Instruction In this model, students read and do the activities as a whole class while the teacher provides guidance.
